Making Malaysia proud.

If you obey all the rules, you will miss all the fun.

Time to blog...

Okay, what to blog today?
Well, today I did not go to school. haha.xD Thx to Sara, I am also a lazy pig. I slept until 2pm in the afternoon and then Lori wake me up for lunch. Waking up so early everyday to school is nothing, but the thing is I wake up so early and go to school to sleep again... SLEEP. It may sounds nice that I can sleep in school, but it's not true... Haiz, teachers will be talking something in Italiano which I couldn't understand at all. Then, I will just sit there and sleep. One hour later, I woke up, the teacher is still talking and I just listen to some songs from my phone or capturing photos with my new Camera. Thx to my phone and camera, it really helps me to pass time. Or not I really have nothing to do. But anyway, the teachers are still very nice to me lahh... They allow me to do anything I want and they are all quiet friendly.xD I like chemistry class the most because we get to go to the laboratory and I won't feel so bored because my classmates will do some experiment... And then I can walk around to help them. Unlike sitting in the class to study.

My classmates were doing experiment. These are liquids of Crystal. hehe^^ Nice?

Tuesday, as usual, I slept in the class for the first two period as my classmates were having Chemistry exam test today. I was really tired though. Suddenly, Sara woke me up and told me that the headmaster had hanged Malaysia's flag, Jalur Gemilang beside their country's flag! OMG! I was so excited and I quickly ran out from the class just see it. I saw it! WOW, this is the first time I felt so grateful about my country. I am so proud of it! Students who passed by were curious and they look at it, asking each other 'what flag is that?' haha.xD During recess time, I was hanging in the corner just to look at my own ountry's flag and then I will smile for no reason. I am a little insane, but it really feels great to see my own country's flag in another country. Weldone Krystle! You are doing good.xD I felt so proud of myself either...

Malaysia's Flag, Jalur Gemilang.xD

Yesterday, we have PE (Physical Education) at school, which is PJK. Did I ever mention to you about the gymnast room in my school? It was so big and nice... I really like it because we do not have such thing as gymnast room in Malaysia. haha.xD In my class , there are only 3 girls and the other are boys because it s a chemistry school. Thus, they always play soccer during PE. Soccer is one of the most important sports for them. Wonder if you guys watch FIFA? The Italians Soccer team is quiet good.

Playing Soccer in the gymnast room...

I just sit down there and capture a lot of photos because I do not know how to play at all and I am bad in sports. Oh yeah, the way they play soccer is very different from Malaysia. I like to see them play.xD It's quiet funny sometimes, they are very active and playful, they also shout to each other a lot while playing. Unlike Malaysia, we are not as noisy as them. Haha.xP

At home, I like it most during lunch or dinner because this is the time when everybody in the house will gather around together to have our meals. haha.xD After staying here for a month, I realise I am starting to eat a lot too. Italians are very passionate to what they eat. And you can never imagine how many oil they put on to the food. I was like OMG. But then they said is okay because oil in Italy is quiet good and is healthy to eat... Okay... haha.xD I am speechless. But I kinda like food with oil now. Maybe I had already adapt to what they eat.

I was invited to a class dinner with my classmates on the comng week, hope it will be fun because I haven't try this before.xD AFS volunteer Andrea is coming for a dinner in our house next Monday, I am asked to prepare chinese food again. This time I need to figure out something to cook and go shopping for to buy some ingredients as well. Hope everything will turns out good la.xD

Wonder how's school in Malaysia? And the coming chinese new year...

Erghh! I hate my pimples.xP

Realise.

(* photo taken by Krystle)

If you always do what you always did, then you'll always get what you always got. Basically, unless you change how you do things, think and act, or you will never grow.

I had been staying here for a month. I enjoy my life here. It's beautiful everyday.
Alright, I think from now on, I will do what I feel like doing. I need to enjoy myself till the max in this 1 month time, before I go back home to Malaysia.

School life.
Okay, school seems a little better now rather than the first few days. I get to know more friends and teachers there. All of them are nice to me and they always like to ask me about Malaysia. I love all my chemisry teacher. They are very friendly and they even taught me Italiano. Last friday, Simone and my chemistry teacher was planning to tell the headmaster about me as an exchanged student from Malaysia. Tomorrow, we will see the headmaster... Hope everything will be fine.

This my school.xD

My crazy and funny classmates...

My chemistry teacher, she is so sweet.xD I like her so much!

Serboli, Gabrielle, Leonardo.
Okay, they are seriously funny friends of mine. haha.xD
ARH! School is crazy here!

Yesterday, I went to the church with Sara, Riccardo and Francescca. We had organized some games for the children in the church. YAY! This is the first time I go to such type of occasion. Actually, I was really tired, but then I am also very excited because I would like to have fun with the kids. hehe.xD I arrived in the church as a special guest. Francessca introduced me to the children. I was so happy because they try to speak in English with me and they always give me a big smile when I capture their photos... So cute!!! ARH! They were so active while playing the games. Francessca said the children are 'killing' her because they were too loud and crazy. haha.xD Yea, seriously, they are extremely active! And they are so cute too!

I am the children's special guest.xD

Me and the kids... All of them are so cute.xD hehe^^

After having dinner in Grandma's house yesterday night, I went out with Lori, Sara and friends again because it's Saturday night. They asked me about school in Malaysia. When I told them that we must tie our hair and cut our finger nails to school, they were so shocked! And I was like, 'Yea...' . They never know about this, perhaps? I have to admit that Malaysian school is very strict and we are very realistic compare to their lifestyle here. Johnny sat beside me, and his hand is really hairyyyyyyyy! OMG, to all my Malaysian's girl friends, this photo is dedicated for you guys... haha!

Johnny's hand... MY GOD! SO HAIRY! hahahahahhaa.xP

After that, Lori, Sara and I went to Johnny's house.xD Johnny has a very cute dog, named Snoopy. That was the first dog I played with in since I came to Italy. I really love Snoopy because it is very friendly and adorable! It has a white colour fur and it looks like a wolf eventhough it's size is quiet small. SO CUTE! I like it so much...

The Italians love to go out on saturday night. They like to have fun and be with their friends. Unlike Malaysia, we usually don't go out with friends at night because it's dangerous. But it's different in here because Montevarchi is a safe place and they can go out whenever they want to. Their life is so free and flexible. I like this type of lifestyle because I think we should enjoy life rather than just aiming for our future. Yes, I have to admit that thinking of our future is important, but having a successful future without happiness is not maningful at all.

Photo of the day.

My teacher's baby girl.xD She is so cute!

Sweet life

Happiness keeps you sweet.
Trials keep you strong.

Okay, Ci-ciao.xD

Dear earthlings,

Morning, as usual, I go to school with Sara and I wake up 7 am early in the morning because I have to catch up my bus at 7.30 am. I love nutella and biscuits for breakfast in the morning. Then Mamma will fetch us to the bus station. My bus arrived, and off we go to school in St. Giovani. Arrived in school, I walk into the classroom and my classmates will say 'Boun Giorno' to me, means good morning. I like that because it makes me feel fresh with greeting from people. The first class was Maths today. I dislike Maths. My maths teacher did not had a real conversation with me before, and I have no idea why is she so cold to me... Maybe she dislike foreign student, I guess. Then, I have chemistry class because I am studying in a chemistry school here. They have a lot of chemistry class and most of the chemistry teachers are very friendly and nice. Unfortunately, I can't understand what are they talking about most of the time, because they speak really fast in Italiano. So, basically, I just sit down there and observe what they do. And if I am tired, I sleep in the class and no one will care because they know that I can't understand. My classmates are nice to me even though they seemed a little busy with their homeworks and stuff. Later, I had English class, I sat with Gabrielle during English lesson because Sara wants to learn her English and she wants to concentrate. Gabrielle is very friendly, but he can't speak English very well. Thus, we had tough time with communication. But it was fun though because he was so funny. haha.xD

Afternoon, Francesca fetches Federica, me, Sara and Riccardo home. We listen to our favourite song 'Vuoi Vedere che Ti amo', my first Italian song. I can sing it a little now... Hehe.xD I am expecting to learn an Italiano song here. Then, after lunch, Lori fetch me out to take sofia from school. Thankyou Lori! Sayang you.xD Yes, I went out with Sofia today. We went to a street in Montervachi for shopping. Bought a mini skirt 7€, jeans 20€ , and a small piece of jacket5€.

We drank hot chocolate.xD Yummy...

Sofia.xD

Sofia and I.

Sofia is very brave. She sat 2 bus home all by her own... If it's me, I am surely very scared and I will feel lonely. She also speaks good Italiano now. She had learned it so fast, just for 4 months, she can speak fluently. I wish I can be like her. We had fun chatting together today. She is quiet shy, but I guess she is friendly when you get to meet her. I really hope to see her again. And I also wished her all the best for the coming months staying here with her host family.

Excited. Crazy. Happy. Touched.

History class.xD Have Malacca in it... Cool!

Today is my happiest day in Italy.

Morning, I went to school and I am glad to tell you guys that I had made a presentation about Malaysia!! My lovely classmates were really interested about the differences in Malaysia and their country... They were really curious and they even asked me lots of question. I introduced to them about Malaysia's culture, history, lifestyle, people, religion, school education system....etc. hehe.xD They are kind shocked when they realise the differences. Finally, I had done with my mission here. It cheers me up a lot because I felt so nice and proud to talk about my country! Malaysia BOLEH!

Well, in the afternoon, I went shopping with Sara, Lori, Marco and Camilla in IGIGLI shopping complex. It's name, IGIGLI is really hard to pronounce... and funny. I took a long time to learn how to say that word. haha.xD

Me, Lori and Sara's shoe.xD hehe^^

As I said in the previous post, I want to buy a new camera. And yes, today I went there to buy it. The price of the Nikon D3100 Camera is 597€. But my budget is only 500€. Thus, I decided not to buy so expensive one. Then, something very unexpected happened. My lovely friends gave me a surprise that they will sponsor me the to buy the camera as a gift!! My god, at first, I don't dare to accept it because it is not good to do like that... But then, they kept on saying that they want to sponsor me. Plus, they had already planned it earlier. I never expect that at all! They really surprised me. I felt so happy and I was totally speechless. They really sayang me a lot.xD I am EXTREMELY happy! Guys, really thank you a lot! It's not about the money it worth, but it's about their initiative to give me this surprise. I really appreciate what they did for me, because this surprise worth priceless. I was so touched and I almost cry... I am SO SO SO happy! Special thanks for friends who sponsored me: Lori, Sara, Marco, Camilla, Riccardo, Francessca, Johny... and a few friends that I don't remember. But most importantly, THANK YOU DADDY!!! I love you so much! I really love this gift! hehe.xD

This is my new camera! Nikon D3100.xD

Back home, after dinner, Lori helped me to fix my camera and Papa taught me how to use this type of camera. He was really excited because he loved photography and he had a very old type of nikon camera which is super nice! He just showed me all his camera gadgets. It's beautiful. I am happy that he enjoyed explaining his photography knowledge to me. Maybe tomorrow, I will start to use the camera because I am charging the battery now...

Lori, helping me to fix it...

Excited. Crazy. Happy. Touched.
I am lucky that I happened to be in here.
Life is beautiful and full of hopes.

IL BORRO

What can you feel in this picture? It is just a normal picture.
But if you look at it with another perspective, this picture has a meaning.
The meaning is
'I was doing home chores while enjoying the sceneries'.

Ciao ciao.xD

To all my lovely readers,

Well, I am very happy today! haha. The first reason is because Daddy told me to buy a new Digital Nikon Lens camera here in Italy as I had scored good result in my PMR, for what he had promised me. YAY! Thank you so much Daddy! I love you.xD Tomorrow, after school, Lori will bring me to a camera shop to search for my new camera. Just now we were discussing about what camera I want to buy... I am so excited! Hope I will be able to find a camera I like.

Ok, the second reason I am happy is because I went to IL BORRO with Papa, Mamma, and Sara today. IL BORRO is so beautiful. We had fun there. I managed to capture lots of picture there. The weather is fantastic today, cold but sunny. I like :D haha.

On the way to IL BORRO.

I had never seen so many trees without leave before...

Guess what is this??
Actually, this is a swimming pool.xD Cool right? I think this wimming pool and the Universal studio's swimming pool can fight leh... haha.xD

Beautiful sceneries in IL BORRO

Sorry, I did not find a nice picture of me with the sceneries... So, I decided not to put my ugly pictures here. hehe.xD Scusa^^

After that, we went to eat ice-cream! This shop is special because the ice cream are hand made, not by machine. Ice cream in Italy is tasty.xD I ordered my ice cream's flavour: chocolate, milk cream and blue berry....

Gelato. Yummy!

Reached back home at 7pm. Tired.Today mamma cook Pizza again. It's delicious though. Sara and I enjoyed Mamma's Pizza very much. Frankly, I like to eat Pizza that mamma cook more than eating pizza outside. haha.xD I am eating a lot these days and it sucks because I am going to be fat. I am expecting to gain weight here...

Tommorow, school starts.xD
Honestly, I don't like schooling in here because I don't understand what the teachers are talking about. They speak in Italiano and I will just sit there and do nothing. Bored. But, I hope I will get to do my presentation about Malaysia in the school because I really hope to communicate with the students there and meet more new friends. In the same time, spread my country's culture to everybody as much as I can.

I am currently searching for my Camera. Haizzz.... I really don't know which one to buy. Maybe Daddy will get some recommendation from his friend and SMS me the camera's modal later.
Wait... wait... wait...

I met the world.

Some people make the world special just by being in it. To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.

Well, today is kinda bored for me. This morning I went to buy school bus ticket with Sara and Mamma as school is starting soon. The bus ticket is so expensive! It's 32€ for a month! Means is around RM130 for school bus! WOW. I think it's because the car fuel is very very expensive in Italy. Their petrol oil is 1.30€ per litre. Means it's like RM5.40 per litre! I am shocked to know that...

My bus ticket.xD 32€!

Yesterday night, I went to AFS Intercutura in Arezzo to have a dinner. There are quite a few AFS student from different country had arrived there with their host family. They were really curious about me as I am the only Asian girl there... They asked me numerous question and I felt happy that I can understand a little what they said. But I still answered them with English because I still cannot speak well. For now, I can only speak a word but I cannot do a phrase or a sentence in Italiano. So, I have to work hard in my Italiano in order to communicate with them. I love my spirit now. Sara, Lori, and Papa are my Italiano teacher... Thanks to them! Mamma cannot speak English at all, thus I seriously cannot communicate with her. Aiya... will try my best!

AFS students and their families.... Playing Taboo.

After chatting with so many host families and AFS student, I met a German girl, Sofia Sturm. She had been staying with her host family for 4 months and she can speak Italiano very good! I really hope I can be like her... She is very nice and friendly. We chatted a lot as she can undertand English well. She is also going to school in Montevarchi, which is just near to our house here. I hope I will get to see her one day before I go back to Malaysia. It's so amazing that I met her in Italy but we both came from another different country. Maybe this is fate... I also met an AFS student from Sri lanka. He is the only Asian boy there, just like me... haha.xD As I know, he had been staying in Italy for 8 years with his father. Thus, he speaks fluet Italiano.

These are AFS students from Arezzo. (*except for Lori)

They played Taboo, which is a game that you must be good in Italiano in order to communicate. I couldn't join them as I do not understand Italiano very much. I have a fear with this game. It makes me got really bored... because I couldn't play it. Luckily, there are still so many delicious food for me to eat. I drank a lot of coca cola and ate a lot of chocolate. I love chocolates in Italy so much. It's so tasty! I ate a lot yesterday... I am going to be very fat when I go back to Malaysia.

After the dinner, we went home. I went to bed quite early yesterday night because I did not go out with Lori and Sara. I was really tired because I had communicate with so many different people from different country today.

The world is so funny, it made us met each other for no reason.

Chinese Dinner with my host family

I heard voices in my ears but I couldn't understand a word.

Yesterday, I prepared dinner for my host family. I was really excited at first because I have no idea whether they will like it or not.

In the afternoon, Sara, Andrea, Antonio and I went to Ipercoap supermarket to buy my ingredients. Sadly, I couldn't find my oyster sauce and corn flour. The corn flour they have was not the one I want. I was very dissapointed because I do not know what to do without these ingredient. Luckily, I found the most important ingredient of my recipe, Kikoman soya sauce! Haha.xD Great! After that the shopping, Sara, Lori and I went to Grandma's house. Grandma is very nice and she love to thread clothes by her own. She also baked a candy cake for us! It was the first time I see candy cake as big as this in my life! It really delicious too. You have to trust me that almost all the bread and cakes I ate in Italy is fantastic! SERIOULY.

Candy cake.xD

So sweeeeeeeeeeet!

I started preparing dinner at 7pm. Yea, it was very late, but Italians usually eat dinner around 9pm. So I am just right in time to prepare everything. Sara helped me to wash and cut the vegetable. She said she enjoyed doing it with me. I am glad that I had a good helper here. Pappa help me to cut the chicken and pork. He was very eager to know what am I cooking so he just stand there and look at me. So scary la!! I am so nervous, felt like the pressure came into my nerves because I am afraid that they won't like the food I cook. Lori brought his friend, Marco along to have dinner with us.

Finally, everything is done! Dinner is ready!

Oh, I miss rice so much! This is the rice I cooked.

French bean with prawn.

Pork meat.xD My favourite. They said it looks not nice, but it is tasty!

Soya Sauce chicken soup. They love this soup the most! Haha.xD

They think that the dinner I prepared for them are very original asian food. I taught them to use chopstick and they really enjoyed it even though it is very difficult. haha.xD Pappa love the rice, he kept on adding rice. Marco and Lori like the soup. They drank a few bowl, as I remember. They told me that they like it very much.xD They just keep on saying 'Buono', means good. Wow! I am so happy with that! They really made my day! haha.xD

Lori using chopstick.xP

Well, that's all. I am having sore throat now... Have no mood the blog la... Will continue blogging later.

***********2 hours later********

Back....

Yesterday night, I did not followed Sara out as I don't really know her friends, Simone and Jesicca. I went out with Lori's friends, Marco, Johny, Camilia and a few person which I am so sorry that I had forgotten their name. I bet some of them are looking at my blog now... Thx for reading! Lori's friends are very friendly to me. I know they were trying to communicate with me even though they cannot speak in English well. They treat me like I am their sister, so caring and warmth! I really love to go out with them a lot. haha.xD Camilia, she is so sweeeeeeeeet and cuteeeeeeeeeee! I really like her a lot even though we didn't really communicate a lot. I know that she is eager to talk to me but she can't understand English. Yet, I find her very nice and I love her sexy voice!xD

Me and my host family will be heading to AFS intercultura later to have a dinner with some AFS-ers. I hope it will be fun as I am going to meet more people later.xP

It's a great news that my blog global viewer hit almost 50 times a day Wow! That is so unexpected. I sincerely hope you guys enjoy reading my blog about stuff in Italy. Anyway, still wanna say thx for reading it. I am happy that I can blog more about here.

Siena ♥

Feels like I had change my point of view to this beautiful world. I like this awesome feeling.

Time is running fast. It's my third week staying in Italy. Life here is so enjoyable. I am blessed that I had this chance to be somebody who I want to be in here. The sky turns dark very fast everyday, thus the night is longer than the day. I can see sunset at 4pm in the evening. That is weird. Sometimes, I felt like my world had gone up side down. I slept late and woke up late. I am eating so much nowadays because I felt hungary for no reason. I am worst than a pig now. Life like this is kinda scary but I can't deny that I like it. However, I hope the school will start soon because I want to get back to my daily pace. Wake up early and sleep early.

Yesterday, I went to Siena with Sara, Riccardo, Mamma and Pappa. The driving journey from Montervachi to Siena took about an hour. In the car, I look out through the window. The view was beautiful, it looked like some scene that I usually watch them movies.

Siena. It's beautiful.

Me and Sara. I was looking for somewhere to sit because we walked a lot.

Haha. Yes, Riccardo again. Always with a very cute look.xP

ARHHH! The dog is so cute and big! Italians like to bring dogs out for a walk. Everywhere I go also can see a dog. I LIKE!

We were walking around there.xD

Siena is famous for hourse riding competition. Pappa said the competition always held on March and September, which is twice a year. Siena is also a shopping paradise! Too bad that is was Sunday and almost everything is very expensive there. All I managed to buy was a Gelato(means ice-cream in Italiano), which cost me 2.50€. Haha.xD Eating ice-cream in winter was fun! I never try it before!

The ice-cream cones.

After shopping for a whole day, we went home for dinner. We ate Pizza. I ate 2 plates of Pizza! I am very fat now... Help... Before I become a fat girl back home to Malasyia.

Today. Bad.xP
I did not sleep well yesterday night because I drank a cup of Cappucino before I go to bed. I can't sleep for the whole night and I was freaking tired this morning. Afternoon, Andrea came to our house to teach Sara Chemistry. Andrea is a good person. He do not smoke and he is very good in studdies. Pappa and Mamma like him so much. haha.xD It's so nice that he and Sara taught me Italiano too! Lori was having home tutor today... Their home tutor is so expensive. It is 10€ per hour class. That means it's RM40!! WOW. Lori is having his big exam on the coming week. He looks very stressful and he always get angry very easily. Pappa said he is like a little woman because he swings his mood easily. Haha.

Me, standing here alone.
I had never felt
this strong before.

Love,
Yan yan
